Hervé Pierre is the General Secretary of SIMalliance since October 2006. In this position within SIMalliance, he supervises Day to Day management of the organization. He reports to the Board and is strongly committed to enhance and promote the role of the Secure Element with telecom operators, application developers and handset manufacturers. He is also Director of SIMposium, the official event of the SIMalliance which brings together professionals from across the mobile services value chain
From November 2003 to October 2006, Hervé was part time SIMalliance General Secretary as well as Director Strategic Program with Gemplus (now Gemalto) Telecom Business Unit. Hervé joined Gemplus in May 2000 as Marketing 3G Manager.
Hervé was previously with Alcatel since 1993. After different positions in the sales organization and a Master in Marketing, he became head of the Datacom Marketing group for France in the Business Systems Group (IP products for Enterprise).
Before that, Hervé worked for Olivetti in large account sales organization.
