Michael Meyer, Board Director, SIMalliance

Michael Meyer has been working for Giesecke & Devrient since 1996.
After working 8 years as a Software Developer for Nixdorf Computer AG (Paderborn) and PCS (Munich) in the area of embedded controllers and chip card personalisation, Michael Meyer joined Giesecke & Devrient as Product Manager for Point Of Sale (POS) products. Michael has set up the Application Development Center and the Integration Test Team within the telecommunication division of G&D. He is responsible for new technologies and IPRs for telecommunication cards.
Michael Meyer has been active in smart card standardisation since 1994. He participates in several standardisation bodies like ETSI and 3GPP and industry associations like GSMA, NFC Forum or OMA. He is responsible for the co-ordination of the standardisation activities of the telecommunication division of G&D.
