Javier Montaner graduated in Industrial Engineering at Zaragoza University (Spain) and then obtained an MSc in Computer Science at Manchester University (UK). He has held in the past different technical and management positions working for Alcatel, Gemplus and Simaps. In 2003, he joined the Smart Cards team of Vodafone Group Research and Development where he has participated in projects in the areas of Digital Rights Management, Digital Identity and Near Filed Communications.
