Seung Hwan Kim was born in Daegu, Korea, in 1974.
He received the B.S. degree in Electronics from Kyung-Pook National University, Daegu, Korea, in 1997, the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1999 and 2004, respectively.
From 2004 to 2006, he was with Samsung electronics, Korea, working on the development of video coding and telephony.
In 2006, he joined the SK Telecom, Korea, where he is currently a research manager.
His current research interests are in the areas of wireless communications, smart card and image/video signal processing.
