Joel GAGET is the Director of the French association of WiFi operators (Wireless Link). Wireless Link was created in 2003 to promote the use of WiFi on public hotspots. Its members are major operators such as Bouygues Telecom, Orange or SFR, or pure WiFi operators (Meteor Networks, Wifirst…). They represent a wide part of the French market, more than 30,000 hotspots in the country. Wireless Link has developed specifications for interoperability, ease of use, and improvement of security on WiFi networks. The association works with French authorities and organisations so as to make the use of WiFi easy and safe for each user.
