Since 2 October 2007 Michael Krammer (48) has been CEO of Orange in Austria. The Theresan Military Academy graduate started his professional career in 1991 at the automobile association ÖAMTC. There he held several positions until 1998, the last one as departmental head Emergency and Information Services. When he joined max.mobil in 1998, his highly successful career in the mobile communications industry began. At max.mobil Krammer was in charge of the department Customer Care for two years prior to becoming the Head of the business unit Business Customers in the year 2000 and becoming part of the company’s leadership team. In June 2002 he responded to the call from tele.ring, the fourth biggest mobile telephony operator in Austria at that time. First of all as CCO and then as CEO he achieved profitable growth for the company. For the advertising campaign „Weg mit dem Speck” (Trim away the fat), the father of three kids received several awards, among others Marketer of the year 2003. After tele.ring was taken over by T-Mobile, the endurance sportsman went to Germany in May 2006 to become the CEO of E-Plus for one year.
