Paul Lahaije is the R&D business lead for Smart Cards within Vodafone Group R&D. Together with a team of smart cards specialists, he is responsible for exploring new business opportunities for Vodafone, enabled by the SIM. Paul joined Vodafone in 2000. Prior to his assignment at Vodafone, Paul has worked for 14 years at the Research and Consumer Electronics departments of Philips Electronics in the Netherlands. Paul completed his Computer Science studies at the Technical University of Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 1986 and received a Master of General Management degree in 2008 (University of Groningen, the Netherlands).
