Pre-Conference "Standards" Special Interest Seminar

Wednesday 29th June 2010
from 16:00 to 18:00

Update on SIM Standards guiding the evolution of SIM Cards and how they integrate with the other mobile ecosystem standards (ie. Java Card, Bondi, SCWS, USB IC, NFC, M2M etc… (5/10 mm each) followed by panel discussion.

- Do we need all these standards organisations? Should we re-address the value brought by the standards organisations versus the benefits for the market? Don’t we spend too much time on agreeing between organisations rather than working on standards?
- Could the (U)SIM be used in other business environments than the one of MNOs?
- Are the standards ready for the next network migration (ie. IP)?
