Marc is founder of Tonson Enterprises, an investment company that actively invests in business innovators. He is chairman of Teleena Holding bv and serves on the advisory board of RadioAccess and Parthenon Data Centres bv
From 2006 to 2008 Marc served on the Board of Wimax International Holdings Inc
Marc co-founded Versatel Telecom BV in 1995 with Gary Mesch, a US citizen. Versatel was the first competitive telecom provider in the Netherlands and key alternative source for communications services in Germany and Belgium. Its subsidaries Zon and Versapoint pioneered internet acces and DSL-markets and provided internet access to millions of people. After the IPO in 1999, Marc became Versatel’s Chief Regulatory Officer and Vice-President Public Affairs of Versatel International NV. He was also responsible for a range of areas such as mobile communications and Wimax/WLL services. Marc served as member of the Executive Board until the acquisition of Versatel Netherlands/Belgium and Versatel Germany by, respectively, Tele2 and Apax Capital in 2006.
